Stamp Minisite

This is the front page of the stamp minisite. Each stamp is a clickable button which launches a pop-up window with the content.

For example this is how the compatibility test page could look and below it is how it would layer up as a pop-up window on a web browser.

The e-card pop-up would allow you to choose a message and stamp and then customise these. An email would then be sent to the card recipient telling them to go to a web address to collect their card. An example of how the card would look is:

Mock ups of my iPhone App. It offers you the options of buying something from the Valentine's Day range or sending a free message to someone based on the customisable stamp edition.

Changes to postcards

Today I finally got round to printing out the postcards in the digital print room. Then things went wrong. I realised that postcards are supposed to be A6 not A5! So I now have some rather massive postcards... I also realised that just having the photo looks quite boring so I decided to try out the clipping mask text again but the image in the background.

I then tried the clipping mask text with a linear burn on top of the photograph tint:

I think this looks a lot better so I will print these out as the final ones on Monday. I also thought about how I should package these. I think I'm gonna put them in an A6 plastic sleeve and then either have a packaging card on the front or stickers on the outside of the plastic. Something like this could work:

In order to further expand the brief into another media output I have been thinking about how the stamps could work as an iPhone app.

Special Site Concepts

Some layouts for the Valentine's Day stamp website. I thought it would be quite fun if as well as being able to send e-cards from the website and purchasing the stamps there was also a compatibility test to see if you and your partner are ideal. It would be one of the simple text box ones where you just enter your names into it and it comes out with a percentage.

E-Card Ideas

Layouts for the e-card section of the stamp website. I'm not sure whether to incorporate the e-cards into the page or have it as a pop-up window. At first I was just going to have the images as the e-cards but I think its more interesting if it uses the customisable element.

Website Graphics

Front page banner = 718 x 88 pixels

 

Side banners = 115 x 215 pixels
Small stamp icons = 83 x 64 pixels
Both with rounded corners
For the side banners I think it would be more interesting and show off what you can do with the stamps if they were animated GIFs. Its such a small amount of space so to have the set animated would look loads better. Because of this I'm changing the banners to having a rectangular border so I don't have to fiddle with transparency.

The second banner will give examples of how the custom stamps can be used in a similar vein to the promotional poster. However the size makes it harder to fit the text in so I had to think of other ways to animate it.

They only put 5 of the 6 stamps on the collection page so I would have to get rid of one.

How the page would look:

 I figured out that the fonts used on the webpage are Chevin Demibold for the stamp title and Arial for the body copy and sidebar.
